Abstract

The paper suggests a general approach to creating hightech energy-efficient electrical systems based on low-speed
synchronous magnetoelectric machines. The task is to optimize the magnetic system according to the criterion of specific net
power while ensuring a minimum mass of the active materials used. The optimal mass-dimensional relations for the magnetic system of a linear magnetoelectric drive are given, which determine the maximum developed electromagnetic force. In addition, the paper presents a classification of starting and operational characteristics of synchronous magnetoelectric machines as part of electrical complexes.
