Abstract

The analysis of technical condition of cast side frames of biaxial three-element bogies of freight cars in operation is carried out. A refined method of calculating the strength of the supporting structure of the side frame, new aspects of design solutions, which allowed to increase the strength of the supporting structure of the side frame in operation, is proposed.
