This archaeographic publication is devoted to characterizing the state of Akmola region, presented in the report of the military governor V. S. Tsytovich in 1873. The first part of the document presents general information about the population, the
state of agriculture, the number of educational institutions, the formation of urban public administration, the administrative institutions of Akmola areas. It was noted that in comparison with similar reports of Tomsk and Tobolsk governors, in the published document there are no conclusions and proposals on the development of the region. This situation indicates a possible variation of the first part of the report and the presence of a certain style of presentation for each governor. The
work is addressed to all who are interested in the history of gubernatorial power in the Russian Empire.
